“What is your course, your next waypoint?”

P1000552wDSC_0910P1010139
Dear friends,
It seems I am posting backwards, we write about our travels, encounters, some tips and hints and newly acquired insights. How did it come to all of this, what happened, what made me take responsibility and trace my (new) course…This is about  how this actually happened…

Escape from the RatRace

P1050310P1010814P1010829P1020031DSC_0156P1050369
Dear friends,
Coincidence or not, last week I received two emails from different persons, with almost the same contents. A CEO of a company in Sao Paulo who told me he actualy hated the job, the city, the traffic and his dream was to kick the proverbial bucket and do what we have done.. go out sailing. Another, wanting to learn how to sail a Catamaran, and planning “soon” his way out.. a hughe lifestyle change…”just like you guys have done…”

Fernando de Noronha - Impressions from another paradise

Dear friends,

Competing in the regata Refeno has also another plus: we could stay for 5 days at the Island. In order to protect the unique wildlife/waters etc practically the whole Island became a wildlife park (and several fees have to be paid...) but it is worth it. We wanted to stay longer, but these 5 days have been enough to make a great impression, and in the future we would like to return. Also with thanks to Nadia, Marilene and Luis Otavio for their pics.

http://www.refeno.com.br/refeno/regata_spots.php

A nossa categoria é a Classe Multicasco Catamarã.

Countdown

Busy days... Every day more and more boats arrive at the Cabanga Iate Clube. Provisions (food, water, fuel), repairs, cleaning, cold beer or coconut water, meeting new fellow sailors. All of this, because we are only a few days a way from the start of the journey to Fernando de Noronha (300 nm ). Stay tuned...

Visual Recife

Almost everyday we need to get things...(food and/or equipment/materials).We go by bus to Cais de Santa Rita, downtown Recife....This is always a great expedition: narrow streets packed with fruit vendors, ladies underware (!?), restaurants (R$ 8 for a lunch of the day...), life animals, and dead animals and all the other stuff you can imagine...
And in the meantime the preparations at the Cabanga Iate Clube for the grant opening of the Refeno continues..

Great People/Great Visit

They are a great couple, and friends, Sergio and Eliane, from Maceio. They already toured around inside and out of Brazil. By motorbike (Honda Biz), yes simple goes further. They came to visit us for two days on board the Onda Boa. Great visit. Check out the text on Sergios Tshirt: " The great moments of life are for those who use good judgement, but the Best  moments are for those who dare not to use it...."

Happy trails dear friends

Playmobil

A Playmobil in the Tocossauro Bar. The place is a surfspot almost a secret spot with only the owner and some surfers. We managed to get ice cold coconut water after a long walk on the beach, wich was a surprise because we were in the midle of nowhere - 4km (beach) to Taipus de Fora and 4km from the famous Ponta do Muta, another perfect and favorite surfpoint at Barra Grande, Península de Maraú, Bahia.
